Our Windmills Family Restaurant is well known all over the area for its traditional Cypriot home cooking and international cuisine. The menu has a fantastic range of dishes to suit every taste and includes a special menu for children.
Our Authentic Cyprus Meze is highly acclaimed and people come from all over the island to enjoy this traditional Cypriot dish which is real gourmet experience and consists of a selection of all the Cypriot specialities. Meze is a great introduction to trying traditional Cypriot cooking as with a little bit of everything on the menu, you are sure to find many delicious new tastes that you'll want to try again and again. You'll also need a healthy appetite and take it slowly! Meze is an experience to be savored.
To give you an idea of what to expect, our Meze starts with a selection of tasty dip-style dishes such as Tzatziki; a cool refreshing mint and cucumber flavoured yoghurt seasoned with garlic, Humous; a delicious combination of chick peas, sesame paste and olive oil and Taramosalata; a pale pink creamy dish made of fish roe. These are served with pitta bread for dipping and are quickly followed by a selection of Lountza; smoked pork marinated in red wine, Halloumi; a delicious cheese, Stifado; a mouthwatering stew with wine and spices, Afelia; a tasty pork dish with coriander seeds, Keftedes; scrumptious meat balls in in a tomato & garlic sauce, Stuffed vine leaves (stuffed with mince, rice and spices), Pork kebab and Sieftalia, a tasty sausage made from mince, onions and spices served with pitta. All this comes accompanied by various vegetable dishes and, of course, a glass of Ouzo!
We also serve a delicious Seafood Meze.
All the olives and olive oil served in our restaurant come from our trees on the hotel complex. At the end of every year, the family harvests the olives and press the oil.
